I have never seen a 9006 US version, but have heard that the bulb socket is completely different from H1 socket.
And what is confusing me with the offer for the headlights from HK-Plus is their statement

They use H4 light bulbs

E34 and E32 headlights in EURO version were never supplied with H4, ONLY H1.
And as far as I understand 9006 is called in the rest of the world HB4.
Ols check in the internet the bulbs, I only know H1 and H4 etc., but not the US style.
H1 sockets just need a clip at the back of the headlights.

They are completely different sockets from 9006 to h1.

You are going to have to do some wiring. And find some h1 female sockets too.

H1 connectors are basically spade connectors, and they are hidden under those big round caps.A seperate two pin connector plugs into the side of those caps

Update. I cut the wires and soldered on the connectors I bought. I didn't get the white connectors, but they're on the way now. Everythign works ok, except I didn't have the right screws for the lights (I tossed the old box on accident) so they're being held in right now by my dubious substitute (it starts with zip and ends with tie)

They look fabulous.
