So yeah, crazy day yesterday, which started with a 1:30 am phonecall from my mate Pete and then 250 miles through the night to rescue him from a vandalised house and car.

Eventually got the ford escorts brakes fixed up and was on my way home to Reading with 5 other mates and Pete driving the escort, just cutting cross country from the M40 to north Reading. Pete gets overtaken on a blind bend by an idiot in a red bmw 320i, who then overtakes me dangerously going uphill around a blind corner.

Expletives were excessive to say the least, but it was forgotten within 5 minutes, untill...

The stupid cunt's turned it over going way too fast and hit the grass/hedge verges at least 3 times. (And at least once while sliding upside-down.) After jumping out and running up to the car (we were first on the scene) there was a foot sticking out of the drivers window.

>.< By all rights, the guy /should/ have been dead, the state of the car, he'd landed on the roof so hard the whole thing had collapsed. We smashed the passenger window and dragged him out, to find his only injury a small cut on the back of his hand where he'd tried to punch the glass out himself.

Guy started acting strangely and was adamant he was going to find his jacket and bag out the boot of the car, which was trashed and razor sharp... not to forget the leaking jerry can full of gas in the boot... found his bag and while I had my back turned he threw a bag of something into the hedge.

The firemen pushed the car out of the way, but after we had a chat with the Police officer the guy was breathalised - and found to be so far over the limit that the officer called into the hospital to have bloodwork run for the more accurate count/controlled substance check.

:/

He's gon get raped for dangerous driving too once the officer turns up to take our statements this evening...

Waste of a damned good classic bmw 320i

Yeah stupid cunt indeed. Maybe the bag he threw out had contraband in it. Did you check later on?

I bet he thought he was invincible before that crash - stupid boy, now he's gonna get a driving ban. I wonder if he's a member on here....

Haha, not likely, though I dont mind other people being on stuff - it's their choice - I'll never touch the stuff myself. I had very strict parents that practically programmed into me that it's not a good thing.

Just had a phonecall from the guy to say thanks for breaking him out of the car - he was afraid it was going to go on fire - he's fishing for me to not put a statement in about the dangerous driving in an indirect way.

I dunno what to do now, because the guy certainly sounds like he's learned his lesson... however the ****er's put me and five mates lives at risk with his driving.

If he was sober then fair enough, he would have learned a lesson, but driving under the influence is B A D. Tell the story how it really was - if he was driving recklessly then tell the lawman about it. Who's to say that in three years time he doesn't do it again and really hurt someone? If he has a drink/drug problem he should get appropriate help. You don't really want to cover up for a driver that's off his blob do you?

Cheers,

No quandry at all. He put your and your friends lives in jeapody by his dangerous driving. What's to say he won't do it again?

If he should hit another motorist the next time he's driving like a twat statistics show that he will more than likely survive any crash whereas the other innocent road user will be killed.

**** him. Tell the truth and get this c*nt off the road.

Yep, agreed. The fact that you know he's fishing is a good enough reason to tell the truth. This indicates he hasn't he balls to face the consequences.

The fact that he tossed a bag in the brush means he maybe a drug runner. Albeit a stupid one. If the guy thinks he's gonna die and all he's looking for is his bag, something's wrong. Drunk with contraband- I would also tell the truth and get his ass off the road before he kills one of my neighbors. His blood alcohol test will tell the story whether you tell it or not. Might as well be honest.

btw, were there any good parts on the ol'd e30? Surely you could get close enough to scavenge some of the leaking petrol and no doubt the wheels would have been easy to take off with it being upside down 'n all....

Lol, darwinism in action...

I think he'd dented practically every panel on the damn car, Snapped both lower control arms on the front end - and I mean /snapped/ clean in two... the sump was smashed to pieces, and I bet the top-end wasnt much better. The whole back end of the car was smashed in and the inside was a state to start with... there was one good window though that I managed to rescue.

The wheels had new tyres on and would have been worth something... though they looked cheap tbh, which was probably what caused him to lose control (if you take away the excessive speed factor,) however the old bill got there before such evil thoughts were running through my head.

Mind you, the mood the cop was in I was surprised he wasnt beating the crap outta the guy and the car for ruining his saturday evening. Still not called yet for me to make my statement...

Tell it like it is, the guy is a menace.
