This morning, after a 2000m swim at the gym, I was in a bit of a rush to get to work. Came to a stop light that leads to an onramp onto our US Hwy. 1, for a 2.5 mile jaunt down it until my exit onto Ten Ten Road. Minivan pulls up next to me (double lane left sweeping turn, heading uphill). Light turns green, and I ease off the line. Mazda 6 is merging into the ramp from the right, and it occupies the right lane, and decides to play a little. I put the hammer down, and run up through the gears, holding each one a little longer, until I'm holding 3rd at 6200+. Roll on down the highway in 5th, then drop to 4th for my right exit 180 degree cloverleaf, increasing radius, uphill exit, at about 65mph all the way around.
What a rush. Then I had to come to work...
Of course this was in the 318is, not the E34.
