This is not one of the modified used V12 E34. That is a Goeser Matthes, which has been built as new car. A unicat, as originally 4 cars had been planned as production, but that was stopped when BMW decided to produce the M5. Price for the new car in 1991 was abt. 200.000 Deutschmarks, which is converted about 100.000 EURO = 120.000 US $ roughly.

Auction has ended meanwhile, 17 offers, but minimum price has not been reached, so it will be again for sale soon.

Now why in the world would that be an automatic transmission? An auto V12 in a 7-series makes sense considering the class of that car, but if you stick a V12 in a 5-series, it is obviously with performance in mind. Just my $.02

perhaps the 850 manual transmission didn''t fit in the e34, or wasn't in production at the time this car was made.

that gangster pointless sound system and the automatic transmission ruined it for me.

So the engine setup is custom built, not factory - yes?
