Are Euro Ellipsoid lamp lenses glued to the reflector or attached some other way?
Looking at a diagram on realoem I would think it is removeable:

From this thread it would seem US version is glued and Euro version is attached some other way?

I would like to clean the lense, as there seems to be a lot of dust.

I have them, they are glued on. To remove them you have to put them in the baking oven and heat them up, for example if you want to install angel eyes.

Oh, I see. I don't think that is some thing I will do.

Nice BMW animation, emblem turning into a smiley and back :)

Maker is Risma from China, very popular here now in Japan among the E32, E31 and E34 drivers. Quality is good, spare bulbs cheap available, and the price is including shipping less than 150 $ for the complete set.

I actually need to change my headlights. Adjusting screws are broken. Found a used Hella nearby, but they are dusty inside. So was thinking if I should buy those used Hellas and clean them (which I cannot do), or buy some other aftermarket headlights. HID is something for the future.
So the choice is between a dusty used Hella or a new Depo. Which do you believe is better? New Hellas at 499$ are out of question.

Yes... you can clean the inside of headlight by washing with Dawn dish detergent... and rinse out with water and Jet Dry (couple of drops)... and then air blast it out.

If you are talking about the lens... being pitted... you can spray some clear thing people raves about on this forum...

Didn't you see how I cleaned my ones?
Detergent or dishwasher, rinse and then let it dry, use clean soft towel and clean the glas from inside, done

one of my lenses has condensation inside. Is there anyway to clean this condensation out and then seal it so that it doesn't happen again?

E34 and E32 headlights are not cooled, if you seal them completely they will overheat.
What you can do is to drill a 1-2 mm hole at the bottom so that the moisture will disappear.

What if I drill a 1-2mm hole from the bottom, wash with a detergent through that hole and let it dry? is this way likely to leave stains? I don't want to deal with heating the headlights and resealing.

PLEASE look at my picture. To clean the glass and the reflector you do not have to drill a hole.
There are 3 screws at the back of the headlight, remove these, and then separate the headlights. See here the separate items which you can even order from the dealer.

Shogun, I got confused by your answer above. That lead me to think that you have to bake Euro smiley headlights to remove the lenses.

Thanks anyway.
