I bought pads without the sensor and was wondering if I can simply tie the 2 wires coming from the sensor harness together to disable the message?

yes you can. the sensors are cheap, like under 2 dollars so it should be a thought. you wont have to remove anything more than the wheel to replace it. I would recommend picking up a few because they are fragle and break very easy when trying to install them.

on the pads. It will save your rotors.

Also, why can't you just reuse the old sensor? I did.

Does anyone know where the brake pad sensors go from the wheels? Ie. I want to eliminate them under the hood rather than in the wheel well - don't want anything getting tangled! I did heavy stripping of **** this past week. :(
