folks, does anyone here has experience installing this particular item from wahler - is it a reputable part?

if it helps lower my bonnet temp in the hot humid tropics, i'm inclined to get one.

feedbacks/brickbats anyone?

Wahler is o.k., not a small company, more than 1.600 employees and a turnover of more than 200 mio. EURO

75 degrees seems extremely low, whats the m50's stock temp, 95 celsius?

92 is the stock temp. As for keeping the engine bay cool, i'd just make sure the insulation on the backside of the bonnet/hood is in good shape. I've noticed despite having the 92c thermo, the car has a hard time melting ice that forms on the hood.

75 won't hurt anything it's a little cooler then i like, i use the 80's but it's not going to really effect the gauge and it should still make heat in the winter
