The only weakness I can see is the drivers' upholstery. Damned that car is clean.

You have noticed that under the passenger side rear tail light there is a big dent in the panel just above the bumper, right?

It's kinda clean, but I have seen better examples. Also I'm not sure if it's the photo or not, but the woodgrain around the shifter looks a little funny. Really glossy, but it's kinda two-tone?

Anyway, I can't complain, my car isn't a rustbucket or anything, but that E34 is cleaner than mine. FTW though, my driver's seat is in better condition ;)

Pretty darn clean, but I know a few members with cleaner. I can only wish mine looked like that.

In that pic of the m5 for 60k or whatever... Why does it have a regular steering wheel?

How cheap can you get not to replace the hubcap emblems? And jeez, what's so hard about taking a toothbrush to the seat controls before you shoot them closeup? Regardless, it brought enough money for a non-AST 525i, regardless of the miles. They should have cut it loose.

Indeed...

JRs M5 makes me feel nice in the pants!! :D :D

How about it. The detailer was too busy putting stripes on the rugs to "detail". Judging by the drivers seat I'd say it was probably owned by someone who did little cleaning and dirt got ground into the hides making all that "patina".

Exactly, I noticed that right away... It would have made a huge difference on the look of the car...

I'm sure mine can look that nice with a good detailing day and a new paintjob. Nothing special really.. (but then again, mine doesn't look like that)

Mine is as clean with 138,000 However, if maintained, lower mileage is better. Noticed a small dent below tail light, center hub cab emblem was gone on one wheel, rear package shelf was faded. Leather needed cleaning, conditioning and possivbly a little repair. All small things a little TLC can take care of. Nice car.

They just did a wash/wash/engine clean with leather condition. They have a place called Kensington auto prep in Rockville that does all that for $125.00. And my car looks about as clean as that. It's a beautiful car. Your posted one, I mean.

I guess you haven't seen my '95 E34. :D It's cleaner than this one but my 525i is white (it is much more forgiving than black). I also have a black car and it's difficult to keep it looking like new. Also, pictures do hide a lot of thing... If you see it in person, you might change your mind.

Mine is cleaner and it has 190,000 miles on it. My drivers seat looks much better. The black paint job on that one is nice and shiny. Mine is red and I have to buff it regularly to keep it looking deep red.

Now, something funny happened to me earlier in the week - but I didn't think it was funny at the time. I detail my car once a week and clean the leather and put conditioner on it once a month. It had been about 6 weeks since I really cleaned the leather (cold weather) and did an exceptional detail job on it. I left the sun roof open and went into the house. DAMN BIRDS!!! Yup, some bird flew over and it went right through the sun roof and onto the passengers seat.

It could be worse... You could have been sitting in that passenger seat while you were conditioning the interior... :p
