I'm curious as to how often others see Orient Blue Tourings....

I have a '94 with a tan interior and no sunroof, and a few people have told me they haven't seen that color before.

I'd post a pic, but the only good pics I have are too big.

Thanks!

OMG *jealous*

If i had the resources to get another car it would be that, maybe even a M5 version, it would be made of god and win

I own -96 540i Touring with orientblau metallic color, double sun roof. Actually it's got 'individual' sticker on engine room but I don't know what's individual in that car. Interior is bison leather (black)

I sold plenty of them over the years when they were new. It was as stock order-deck item. I recall ordering it far more often in 1995 than in 1994 though, if that's what you mean. I did have to special (Individual) order that color for a friend's E36 convertible in around 1996, but by the next year it was a standard color for that model, too. Curious, does your non-sunroof touring have vinyl interior, too? No wood trim? No OBC? "Value" model.

Pheno must be from outside the US (we had no '96 5-series of any kind here), and I'm assuming his '96 is an E39?

No sunroof, that's rare or nonexistant in the U.S.

I did make an offer on a 530iT, Calypso/Black but the lady loves it too much to sell. Don't blame her. :)

The sunroof was optional on Tourings in the US after the '93 model year.

Thanks, good to know. Must have been rare NOT to have the sunroof.

317 Orientblau is a common color on E34, I have two friends that owned a Orientblau 540iT/6 each (one has sold his, he has a Alpinweiss III 540iT/6 today) one day at my work there was a third 1995 Orientblau 540iT/6 all parked next to each other, out of a production of 499 LHD 540iT/6:)

pheno; Auto or 6speed? If 6speed please email me at 540i6e34@gmail.com love to come in to contact with 6speed owners.

Phil?

geee, you find the strangest people in the oddest places!

Even though I'm always looking for E34s, I can't recall when I last saw an orient blue one. The car is non-sunroof, it has a normal leather interior with wood trim, and no OBC. It was sold new by the late, great Vasek Polak BMW in Hermosa Beach, I found it in Van Nuys. It wears 17" 528i sport wheels. It has a rebuilt title due to a nasty rearender that ruined the tailgate, but is high on my list of projects to fix now that I have all the pieces.

can't see any pics.

I almost bought a 530iT blue with a white leather interior. It was gorgeous but failed the leakdown in two cylinders...

email me those pics and I will host them for you...
