I just bought a new OEM hella euro smiley and foglight set because i'm not that happy with my original one anymore its 18 years old;) anyway my question is my original has the auto leveling and the new one i bought doesn't come with the motor...can I just install my old autoleveling motor in my new headlight?

remove the new lights from the non adjusting frame, and attach them to the old frame that does have the autoleveling. IIRC from switching form US to Euros with adjusters last weekend, there is a slight differnce in the frame to accomodate the auto adjuster motor.

That half sleeve?

Yeah that's the motor mount. Maybe the frames do have the standard "Saturn" shaped opening after all...

IT's sure be a heck of a lot easier to NOT have to take the OEM frames out though. Unclip the old ones form the studs and clip the new ones in... no adjustment forthe light pattern needed, no extra work trying to take out the frames...

thats good to hear taking out the headlight is a pain already hehehe thanks so much... foglights where easy about 10mins for both but the headlights...reading the bently man. makes it sound so easy:D but i have to take out the OEM frames I made a little whooppsy and craked them by accident

I asked him if this is original Hella, and he says it is. But it is so cheap.
