Headlight issue on '90 535i

Recently the headlights on my '90 535i have been going off intermittently while driving. They may go off for a few seconds up to a few minutes. That goodness for driving lights!

I assume that there is a ground wire that needs attention, but I'm not sure where to look. If anyone has a better idea as to the cause, or can direct me to the likely location of the ground wire please let me know.

I'll try re-soldering the relay next weekend. This weekend I am heading to Ft. Hood TX to visit my son in the Army.
