In another thread I described a blown out heater motor. I took it out and might have found the problem. What do you think?:D :D

Maybe I should take those posts about rodents attacking our cars more seriously :)

That'll teach him not to nest in your car.

There were actually 3 of them in the space where the filter sits. They chewed the filter and insulation to build a nest.

You can be lucky that you do not have any Marten around there. Big problem, they destroy cables, ignition wires and chew up everything. Big damages every year in Europe.

I once had a rabbit take up residence under the hood of Corvette that was seldom used. In close proximity to the fan unfortunately for 'ole Bugs. A loud thlump after starting the engine and he was all wrapped up in his own fur like a little pork roast ready for the oven.

One of my parents friends drove from london to edinburgh with a kitten under the bonnet of their car - it'd crawled in there for warmth or something.

It survived as well - though did look a bit windswept...

Our first house after we were married, I saw arcing inside a wall (through a gap) during the rain one night - pulled the wall apart and there was a dead rat that had chewed through a wire - water was getting in and causing the arcing.
