Any adverse effects for eliminating the heater valve assembly ??

I am planning to do it since it seems to be stuck open and the temp where i live is no less than 45C.

was a source to defrost the windsheild in rain. Mine had failed for the drivers side only, so I took it apart and used a matchstick to force the drivers side closed. That way the passenger side was still there in case I needed it for anything. After several months I had the funds to replace the thing.
