View Full Version : Sunroof hitting wind deflector when closing (sliding)

Hi all,
My sunroof won't slide closed anymore because it 'catches' on the wind deflector.

It appears that the mechanisms that lower the wind deflector as the roof gets near close are intact and DO work... but not well enough, because the deflector doesn't lower enough.

I thought that it might be an 'adjustment', but I don't see how to make any.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

You get the sunroof insert repaired yet? I'd guess alot of that problem is with the saggy, torn insert panel.

Actually Martin, the cloth sunroof panel is still off (:embarassed:), and is not interfering with the wind deflector at all. It is metal (wind deflector) to metal (sunroof) contact.

the ramp looking things that press down the deflector need to be rebent a little, give them a little more bow
