Just started "Phase II" of project 540. Needed a new battery, so it seemed the right time to remove the rear seat, rear decklid, and also the rear subframe for refurbishment. First, I'm going to recover the decklid myself, because I'm sick of the purple two-tone. I didn't find any real help in the archives, so where is a good source for replacement material? Second, all that have done it already - did you choose to drop the "entire" subframe at once, or do it in sections? I'm going to get the rear beam, trailing arms, and rods powdercoated to match the front half of the car. The matching Koni Sports need to go in. I'll also be replacing all the hardware (nuts, bolts, washers, etc.) and bushings too. The rear needs a good cleaning and inspection anyway, so I'm going to try to get it looking good for the big meeting in June.
