I had to replace a bulb and opted to do the upgrade to 9005 so I replaced both bulbs today after the quick and easy modification. When I went to remove the old bulbs, the copper ring that helps hold the bulbs in on the light fixture came out. I replaced it when the new bulbs went in but the rings aren't tight against the fixture and consequently, the bulbs are also not held in as tight as I thought it should.

Looking at RealOEM, I can't see this copper ring or a part number for it.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

Bryan

Come on....I know somebody can help me a little here. At least tell me of I should be getting a snug fit with the 9005 bulbs in the lowbeam socket.

A picture would help. I've been removed from OEM lights for too long to remember.

no.
Not unless you removed the larger sealing ring from the 9006 and added it to the 9005 in addition to the normal 9005 bulb ring.

Did that. So I have both the old o-ring from the 9006 and the new smaller o-ring that was on the new 9005.

Qube, I'll try to get a picture ASAP, been a bit hectic lately.

Thanks for replies.
