Hi

My name is Jon and i'm from iceland. Just signed on the forum few weeks ago and wanted to show you my pride and joy for the last 6 months or so.

It's a original 5spd 535i. Manifactured in Oct 1988. I find it rather well equiped with leather seats, electric sports seats in front, On board computer, electric morrors and windows, ASC, LSD, A/C (none working and partly removed due to leaking heater radiator by previous owner). The only thing i'm missing is the sunrood, but i can do fine without it. It has 170.xxx km on the odo, thats about 106k miles.

I'm sporting 17" Style 32 replicas with 225/45 in front and 255/40 in the back. Also i bought new rear lights with red side indicators and white once up front. Also got me some shadowline kidneys.

Great looking ride! Is that shadowline kidney grill the clip over i see on ebay all the time? Is the E34 a very rare sight on Iceland?

Its what you see on ebay allt the time. It just replaces the chrome ones and fits like a glove.

While i remember, i also installed a HID (xenon) kit some months ago. Lighting is much better. The only bad thing about it is that it throws a "dip beam" code, but can be cheated by turning on the light as soon as the engine is started.

Royal BlueAwesome,
Blue is my favorite color, too bad very few good cars come in it.
Finding a clean sapphire blue 94 SE-R (the one and only year for the color) was the holy grail of the sr20 community.
Ya get the occasional M3, ti or 7, but i’m sick and tired of black and oxford tourings (yes, mine included, i do find the color annoying).
I love the red tails combined w/ clear front, simple, elegant even.
Wheels are a hair bling for me, but hey, it’s yer car.
ASC and LSD, awesome. I don’t like the traction control and US cars from this period rarely had LSD (or at least mine don’t)...boo.
And of course, the ultimate ‘why didn’t we get this’.......headlight washers.

About the wheels, it came with the car when i bought it. 17" diameter, 8.5" wide, ET 13. The face of the wheel is silver paint and lip is polished. I really like it, at least compared to my ugly 15" winter wheels.

The ASC is very useful in the winter time over here, ain't called Iceland for nothing. Can turn it off at anytime when i want some action.:p
Also the LSD comes in handy, to get going in snow and ice and also for fun. Its all true what they say about LSD diffs, its 100hp of pure fun:D

About the headlights and foglight washing system. It sucks bigtime. Spends way to much washer fluid compered to what it does.

It was made for the German market, imported to Iceland in 2004
