All I can say is wow it’s a whole new car. Took a whole weekend but in my opinion defiantly worth it. I'll be doing a complete write-up in the coming weeks.....

Look forward to it and subscribed.

one quick question, I take it you are still on the lower 4.10 gearing based on parts pictured.

Did that throw off your speedo or affect your highway mpg?

Any plans to change to a 5 speed diff?

Nope 4.10 came out and a 3.23 went in - As you know that 4.10 would have been way way too high for my daily highway driving.

At this point I still have the cruise control to finish - otherwise nothing very difficult. I'll have it all in the write-up. I did not remove the relay others have mentioned.

Sweet!! Nice job.

My '92 525iT is sitting in my driveway right now with a dead slushbox- I'll be doing this soon (I hope)..... I have the donor car all ready to go, just need to make the time to do it.

While you are at it, swap in the S52 you've sitting out there....:D

That is brilliant! I like the way you make it sound so easy, like anyone can do it!

I fear my torque converter may be on its way out and I am at the crossroads of do I replace it OR do I replace the whole trans with a manual. The mechanicals are OK, its the electrics that make me shiver! I had the dash off once and couldn't believe the number of wires, in my old escort there were 2!!
