hi all ,

i just realized the tapping sound came from the left-rear panel that holds the rear speakers while driving because when i pressed the panel, it's loose. my question is how do i remove the rear panel, so i can tighten the left side? do i have to remove the rear backrest seats as well just to gain access to the rear panel? the tapping sound is gettin' worse. i searched, and turned out nothing...except couple of possible tapping sound causes.

any help will be appreciated.

Yes you need to remove the backrests in order to pull the shelf out cleanly. theirs a few plastic nuts to remove under the seat and it just pulls up as its clip/slotted at the top.

Don't be so quick to accuse the shelf though! i ripped mine apart several times dinomatting, foam sound proofing, taping and sealing all the cables speakers ect. to no avail! turd out to be the door rubbers cricking! some meguiers black plastic cream cured it right up!!

I had to remove my rear shelf recently. To remove the rear seat-back you need to remove a few other things as well as the nuts.
