Guys can't find this anywhere in the Benteley. What do you torque those pulleys that are attached to tensioner down to?

Yeah I know you don't need a torque wrench for this type of job but I like to do everything by the book.

just the worn pully, sounds real bad today when I ran to the post office, wondered if I would make it back. I will inspect more stuff when I get in there tomorrow cause I am going to freshen the AC belt too.

Look at the bolt size. IFRC it is 8 mm. And then look at the grade on the bolt head. Most likely it is grade 8.8. Then use the torque seting table.

uh-ohh the smaller idler is wasted! Looks like its E31 weather for a few days...hmm the AC idler is the same thing, the ol switcheroo is what Im going to do.

where'd you get your pulleys? Are there aluminum ones available or just plastic? I'm replacing my Rad, maybe its a good idea to replace these as well?

They are plastic. Take off the belts and spin them. If they catch or make noise--replace.

Sorry to stray off-topic, but i believe the idler pulley is catching, the pulley on the bottom right passenger side will spin then stop suddenly, followed by a change in engine speed(sound like a catching idler pulley to you?)

The bearings are in the pulley itself correct?

Another question i have is which one to get? I believe they are standard 80mm but on BMA they have a 70mm option? take a look:

Yes, these pulleys have the bearings built-in.

Which one are you looking for?

The idler is 70mm, deflection pulley 80mm.

P.S. Autohaus has your parts cheaper. I wouldn't deal with BMA as they screwed me too many times.

You need to look at which one is bad, there are 2 70mm ones, ones for the AC and the other 80mm is on the same bracket thing as the tensioner with the 70mm

seems like the bma kit comes with two, wouldn't i just replace both? Il start taking everything apart this weekend, see if i can tell by hand spinning it.
