View Full Version : Bought a new climate control unit. Do I have to get it programed?

Hi All

I bought a new manual climate control unit. Should it be programed/coded before installing?

Or can I simply try the new one and check if things like AC, heating, rear defogger, etc.. work?

In Real OEM it said it is uncoded and I got an appointment with stealer. Apparently they are the only ones who can code it. I guess nothing wrong in installing the uncoded one and trying.

i've never had any of that coding **** come up on a e34 yet, now e38/39s @#%^&**
