Could anyone point me to the part number or schematic for the coolant drain plug and washer on the passengers side engine block for a 1989 535i? I have to write this down. Everytime I go to the dealer he cannot find the number. Thanks.

I'm thinking its a 14X1,5 bolt. The part # may be 07119919228 and the realoem price is $0.61, but take it for whats its worth.

I would be inclined to just find a 14mm bolt and appropriate washer at an automotive or fastener joint.

Oh, schematic on realoem does not show the plug location as its drawn to show the drivers side.

Here is the link to it anyhow (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HD23&mospid=47408&btnr=11_0133&hg=11&fg=10)

Thanks Dave. I was looking at that schematic before but would have never figured that out. Thanks for the help. That looks like what I was looking for.

No problem, thats why we're here 24/7, some of us longer. I assume the drain plug went missing on you, as they don't tend to go bad :D

It's still on but I have taken it off a few times to drain the system and I usually replace the crush washer. Maybe I'm anal.
