Hello All,

I just got a "Check Control Owners Manual" on the OBC today. What does this mean? I don't have an owners Manual :p

owners manual.

Since you don't have an owners manual, I suggest you buy one from BMA or a dealer. I can't imagine not having one for reference, in a car as complex as an E34 (or a Model A Ford, for that matter.).

I have the Bentleys Manual so I guess I'll look it up in there when I get home. My wife was was going to get me an Owners Manual for Xmas but no dice.

I don't think the owner's manual nor Bentley's discusses this one. Usually it happens when it's time for a new battery. Either charge your battery or have it load tested. Autozone will do it for free & if you need a new battery, their $59 Duralast is a good one and comes with the vent kit for mounting under the rear seat.

Check your heater control valve fuses especially. My failing heater valve blew a fuse, and brought up "check control". Don't know how, don't know why, but the new heater control fuse got rid of "check control" for me.

fault in electronic system.... I would go along with what Gale said and check the battery and charging system for anything out of the norm.
