Face lift to what?

And what does it matter if it's done in the US or Canada, other than the monetary unit of the country?

OK but a face lift to what model? Do you want to do a wide grille conversion or something more crazy like an E39 facelift?

typically i would buy the used parts from an auto recycler and paint them to match
Definitely change the headlights also. its the one major thing that can tell the age of a vehicle.

depending on if it is a crash repair or not would affect the final price.
to just install and paint new parts it would cost somewhere between $1000 and $2000 USD

WOW!! And what part of that is labour? In Bulgaria a wide grille conversion is about $750.

Hi, nice to see someone who lives less than 1000km from me.

you need the hood, the metal front upper grill that goes under the hood, the light surrounds, the plastic grill inserts, and the chrome (or black) kidneys.

you do not need the plastic clips, once removed, leave em out. it makes it a LOT faster to remove the grill the next time you need to, and they are probably gonna break during removal.

$750 is that everything from start to finish? if so thats a nice deal.
To put a hood and grille on, prep and paint would cost about $750 and you'd still need to buy the parts.
If I were to do it, I would definitely paint the bumper also, and clean up any chips or scratches on the front end. Depending on the paint color, it may need minor blending into the fenders which adds to the cost.

My ballpark of 1000-2000 included labor and all materials. at the time I didnt know it was just a wide grille conversion so my estimate was a little high. In the US, environmental concerns among other factors have caused the price of bodywork to increase. Labor can vary from $50/hr all the way up to $150/hr depending on type of work and quality of shop.
