both Mclaren and BMW show good speed....will it be fast enough?Interesting sure, close maybe, but they need to be more consistent in the long run.
Kimi has had the speed to win the championship many times, just not the luck or the reliability. If his little red car simply can keep ticking he could walk away with it. We know they're fast, just look at what Masa did.
As much as i'd love to see more parity with the cars.........i take Finn in front.

And mumbling thru interviews. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Glad to see Kimi have a better car, he deserves it. Hopefully the boys in Maranello won't let him down. Good also to see McLaren back on form.
I'll go on record now and predict the decline of Renault.
Red and silver cars heading up the grid this year I hope.
BMW looking better as well. Me thinks Nick won't keep up with the youngster.
Poor Ruebens and Jens. Poor Frank Williams too.
And just WTF was Coulthard thinking? Perhaps he ought to run that hotel full time.
Ought to be an interesting season.
Anybody in the Chicago area care to get together for viewing the races?

Anybody in the Chicago area care to get together for viewing the races? It’s MAYLASIA!!

Go Kimi!

Sure Ross, i'll be PMing contact info.
Yeah, i know it’s a holiday weekend but it is intriguing.
Because of the time difference and that it’s live, qualifying starts at 11ish on Saturday night, race coverage ends at 3am.
I know of at least two bars where this would work very well.

And there's practice-qualifying on friday night too.

OK looks like we’ll be at Fireside at 9pm Sunday (re-broad).
There are two back up plans so check up just in case.
We've got Kelly and Ross in so far.

5739 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago
Ravenswood 2.5 blocks South of Peterson.
Get to Peterson/Edens(I94) and head east.

Be there or be square.
Ferrari on pole (as God intended), Youngster Hamilton pinching himself in P2, Kimi and the Spaniard behind,3rd row is Bimmers.
Promises to be a good race with Bimmers having a good shot at some points.
Poor old timers Coulthard and Rubino sucking hind tit in shitbox cars.
My prediction; Mumbles, Massa, errrr Kubica, the MBs are on schedule to grenade.

Be there or be square.
Well after a bit of a false start, relocation, back to ‘Players’, that was a good time.
Good to meet ya Ross.
Too bad you couldn’t stay later, that Jahn is a hoot, we pretty much closed the place.
The crowd was a little off (some not into the race, drunk, obnoxious) but the service was better and friendlier. Food’s pretty good too.
‘Fireside’ is out xcept for the races on broadcast TV (US, Monaco, Canada? Eh i forget).
As for Players, I am more than willing to go again, get there earlier, bring more bodies, and claim some territory. Jahn was very surprised that it was that dead for the race.
Kelly is bummed about not having made it, she had to open today, even as a morning person it was a stretch. She hasn’t been there yet.
Also we will host for one of them for sure.

very interesting race wasnt it.Kimi seemed unable to overtake Alonso even though the Merc was going "slowly"Meanwhile Massa and Hamilton were showing real pace, and The BMW looked promising. Some of the older guys showed tha they had skills and good cars too, even if they arent up with the real car factories.

BIG CHEER for BMW.
They did great - and then there is Toyota and Honda... so sad, $$$$$$$$$$$$ out the Japanese windows!
