Let's see how many times I can post this...

There is a little M12 x 1.0 allen screw that comes out, and I think you're supposed to use that to screw in a longer bolt to grab on to to pull the shaft?

Seems no one in the city has an M12 x 1.0 anything, bolt, all thread, etc.

Can I tap it out from the other side by tapping on the adjoining rocker arm?

Any help / suggestions appreciated!

- Robin

Edit - M30 BTW.

Yep, there's a factory tool that's effectively a slidehammer.

You can try tapping it out (assuming the head's off the car), but run the risk of mushrooming the shaft. Try a wooden dowel or something that will give before damaging the shaft.

So you can tap the rear shaft forward to make the forward shaft stick out enough... or do you have to tap on the ledge that engages the head bolts?

I could just try it I guess but I'd hate to be wrong and screw up the head.

EDIT - looks like it indeed works like that. One has to be careful not to break rocker arms when tapping...

Thanks!
