M20 Engine Question

Hello there, I have 1989 525i, and the cylinder head got overheated, so I need replace it. I have been looking for one of those and I notice that my car has a M20 type of engine, and I also notice that many 323i from the same year have the same type of engine.
My question is. The M20 from 323i will be the same engine M20 for the 525i?

is the same head, just the some of the valve covers and manifolds are different.

Are you wanting to fit the cylinder head from a 323 to 525? Any M20 2.5 head, which has 885 written on the side of it, will do nicely.
