It would be better if smoked from the lense. The black inside won't hide the hideous bulb that will be visible.

How to frighten people easily? Fit those clear front indiactors, put one large Hyperbright 12v LED in each one and rig them up to a switched 12v supply. You can have hours of night-time heart attack inducing fun driving up behind someone with ONLY the red lamps showing at the front. They'll think it's a UFO or something! Only joking, they look like a waste of perfectly good plastic.
