mine covers the whole E34 span, Touring and all the various motors...No M5

And probably it also does not cover the V8 M60/M62 engines.
That is in the E32 Bentley.

That old e34 Bentley is nice....BUT...here's a link to a better e34 Bentley that is acutally SEARCHABLE.

If you down load the one Shogun linked to...you can only scroll thru the pages manually.

BUT the downloadable BENTLEY at the following link is free (just follow the instructions)...and when the file is completely downloaded to your CPU (or you can make a personal CD disk to carry with you in your glove compartment)...the file is active and searchable (you can click on the "binocular" icon and type in a keyword)...and your computer will search the entire file for every use of that key word.

Here ya go (remember to follow the instruction...click on FREE...then wait for the "Download Ticket" to count down to zero...verify the scrambled code in the box...THEN click on one of the sites to download the file from) : http://rapidshare.com/files/11879834/Bentley_BMW_5-Series_Service_Manual_Searchable.pdf.html

It is searchable but the schematics are unreadable. It also appears that both version do not have all of the electrical schematics. i am trying to do some research on the sword (Final stage) and can not find the circuit drawings

Hi Qsilver7,

I tried three times to download the Bentley manual as you suggested. Each time I get a message saying 'Download-session invalid'. What am I doing wrong? Must a wait a few days before trying again? I'm using Firefox, should I maybe use IE6?

Thanks.

Ralf

The version on this site is a 43 MB pdf. I downloaded one from a different site a while ago. It is a 63 MB pdf of exactly the same manual. The electrical schematics are much more readable. But you can get wiring diagrams for any model years from other sites.

Another source for wiring diagram is here,

http://www.autolib.diakom.ru/CARS2/index.html

It is in Russian. Click the link. Select BMW on the left hand panel. Click the third line on the right hand side. It opens up three more lines below. Click the line with "Mitchell on demand" to select the year and model of your bimmer.

I saved a copy of every wiring diagram for my e34's in pdf to my laptop.
