Hey Guys. Got a 89 520i and im replacing the fuel lines at weekend and would like to know if it is a difficult job to do and is there any problems i should watch out for ?

BMW used a lot of crimp band type clamps that are throwaways.

Hose needs to be fuel injection hose/line.

Also : if you're using brand new fuel hose, I'd go back and retighten everything after a week as the fuel hose beds in.

If it is not absolutely necessary, I'd advise against replacing the fuel lines. It is a major PITA. Ask me how I know.

Yeah, though it's an '89, it must be starting to crack and fray the hoses now...
My '91's hoses were totally shot at and were leaking every 5 minutes.

EDIT: Hmm, didnt realise he meant the steel lines as well...
