We used to have boards for some of the other BMW models under the old format. Since I moved servers, those boards are broken. We had some variants in the 3er and 7er boards. I'd suggest just one 3er board for all 3 Series models, and one 7er board for all 7 series models. I know at least for the E38, I posted some of my projects on that board, and I would like a place to store them and make them available to others. Suggestions welcome.

thad be otay, as long as it wouldn't become a ghost town, every time id check out the e30 page on the old board there would be week+ old stuff on there, and that was on the old fast paced it's off the page in a day format

That's why I'd suggest only a single 3 series board and a single 7 series board. At least I would follow up and moderate the 7 series board, cause of my e38 projects. Any volunteers for a 3 Series board Moderator?

Heck, even if it becomes a ghost town, I could call the 7er board my E38 archive of projects, doh!

Prolly wouldn't hurt to try them.

that would keep the traffic up on each board, induh-vidule forums may be a neat concept but till it's needed it's just clutter

would say it would depend on your schedule to maintain it. Some of the E-34 owners do own 3 series on this board and others like myself own a 7 series. The E-32 and E-34 are almost identical cars except for size so I learn a great deal about my car by participating on this board. The E-38 that you have...nice car incidently...would be a good adjunct as it is a bit different but I am sure you see the similarity first hand as well owning both a 5 and 7.
Perhaps give it a try if not too time consuming and see what demand would be like. I would probably try to participate on both the 5 and 7 boards.
Good Luck and Thanks for all your good work,
George

Ed's right, when you look up www.bimmerinfo, there's our old board, new board and all the various boards that didn't see very much action. Once upon a time, the 3er board would move at a good clip, but that was sometime ago. But it did produce some traffic.

Regardless, it's time to "spring-clean" the main homepage. Add the two boards, we've seen how this one has grown, why not? Would it cause more work for you? We know how hard you work to keep us entertained =) but we don't want to burden you more.

If it's not a lot of extra work for you, give it a go....if it is, so what...do it anyway...=)

What's a board moderator do anyway? Smoke cigarettes and drink beer while waiting for some porn to download on the site?

You're too good to us, ed......

90 735iL/149kCool idea but like George said that complicates matters for some of us.
Considering for instance the commonality of the M50 engine, certain questions, discussions and writeups would be best shared. While OTOH ya’ll don’t need to hear about crappy e36 ball joints.
With our wordwide reach, even 5ers with the M40 series are open to discussion.
Things to think about for sure.

Oh and yeah..............agreed, thanks for all the werk, Ed.
