Still haven't heard squat from Nat (http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=30794&highlight=angry+pancake)about the part I paid for on Jan 11. It seems a number of people aren't getting any satisfaction from Nat.

The thread on bimmerforums (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=676118) is still alive with folks disappointed in his 'performance'. Again, I hate to diss a fellow board member, but there is no excuse beyond death or grave illness to ignore multiple cordial attempts at correspondence.

So does anyone know him well enough to find out what he’s doing with all these parts?

Yeah, paying for parts and not getting them is frustrating. Have you tried catching him on AIM?

Thanks Dan, made the change and will try him on AIM. I'm not optimistic though, as phone calls, pm's and e-mails have all gone unanswered.

For example, this is a copy of the e-mail I just sent him (I've sent a few). We'll see if this gets a response.

Why you would give me your phone #, tell me you were going to send it more than an month ago and then drop off the face of 'bimmer earth', I have no idea, BUT........I'm not about to lose another pile of money on a deadbeat internet dealer, so please don't be that guy. From what I can tell, you are a valuable, reputable member of more than one board, but I WILL get my money back through Paypal arbitration if I have to.

Funny you spoke to him last week. I've been trying for a month and a half with no luck. What # do you have (or did he call you)? The one I have does not allow me to leave a message. If you feel comfortable pm'ing me with any info it would be much appreciated, but I fully understand the situation you're in.

Entirely different in Canada. Generally, universities hand out degrees, colleges hand out diploma. This is oversimplified of course, but usually the case.

As with a lot of things that involve one party being very late, I would try to send a message that says: "If you stop ignoring me about this and want to talk, I won't beat you up about being late".

I know a lot of times people would rather avoid paying something back they very easily can do than face the shame of having to say "Yeah, I was ignoring you for months, here's your ****". Like lots of people that borrow movies or CDs and never give them back because they will have to face you and apologize for bieng a lazy slob.

Your wording in your first email sounds like that, might help if you spell it out. Good luck.

I agree fully, and have been guilty of the movie analogy :D. And yes, thats what I was going for in my attempts at correspondance with him. I've sent numerous pm's and at least one e-mail to that effect. Very cordial, very cool, "simply let me know if or when you sent the package". Can't get much clearer than that.

Oh well.......llive and learn i suppose. I appreciate all the kind words and advice guys.

have to admit a ebay/paypal strike against for non payment woke me up from a $10 lego superhero purchase that I had won and didn't pay for a month or so. seller wanted a money order, and I was just too damned lazy to go to a 7/11 and make one out for him. I told him finally that if he'd just sign up to paypal, I'd pay him immediately...and he got one.....

some folks like their 100% +pos+ rating on ebay more than they like their message board friends...so a paypal strike is a good encourager

You guys were right. The paypal resolution center urged me to wait as the transaction was international and the shipment could be at the border. So, I just tried to file and found out i'd waited two days too long. OOps. So, yuou live and learn. I just sent my last e-mail to lovely Nat, just to wish hime well on the remainder of his life. I hope learns.......one day.

Now, the last thing I want to do is for everyone to take out their anger on Artem, but mabye you could send a few messages to him and find out whats up, as I think Artem knew him locally.

Unfortunately, no. I've been too busy fixing other peoples cars and am waiting for a couple of lenses for the projectors you sent me. I know I sounded eager when I got the HID kit from you, but, since it ain't moving until the snow melts, I (and my wife) have found things of higher priority to fill my time ;). Stripping an sanding wood trim in the kitchen was my wife's idea. That $hit takes time.

I will let you know when i set them up and post before and after photos, of course.

The funny thing is, I agreed to but the DME from Nat as I was hosed on another e-bay deal in which I received a dud unit (I have just received a paypal settlement for this deal) So, I think I'll stop testing luck. Since things like this come in three's, I'd buy a DME from you and it would end up in customs under suspicion of a weapon of you know what. But thanks anyway, I appreciate it. I have a working one, I was simply interested in a spare.

Regarding the parts car, I'm no longer surprised with anything I hear. You're not the first to tell me something sketchy about a certain someone's dealings. Too bad.

I hope I didn't speak too soon (if something has happened to him).

My question to you, however, is if you spoke to him a few weeks ago (as a previous post elluded to), I would expect you to have some sort of idea as to what is 'up' in his life. Did this unfortunate occurance transpire shortly after I payed him on Jan 11? It must have, or else he might have returned an e-mail or pm or phone call or paypal message. Now, if something unfortunate has happened, I will feel bad for my last e-mail, otherwise, unless someone comes out and tells me whats happening, I will not be praying for him. We'd be praying for a lot of people everytime they didn't call, wouldn't we.

I have received an e-mail from Artem, which did not indicate that something was wrong with Nat. He said he'll try to get a hold of him.

Sorry for my lack of faith, but until one of the folks who have spoken to him while he was NOT sending me my stuff, fills me in as to why, I'll have a hard time showing sympathy.

I bought a pair of Mtech sideskirts from Nat. I specifically told him I needed these asap (December 13, 2006) so I can get them painted. Now here was the deal. I could have bought the skirts for $175 from a BMW breaker with all parts included, but I didn't. Nat was in need of money to pay off his tuition and I would rather help a friend out and give him $200 (more than what I could have had them shipped to my door for) rather than giving it to a company. (There are 4 additional pieces that go under the door with the M-tech skirts) I was reassured 1,000 times I would be getting all parts included to make the skirts fit 100%. I met Nat and got the skirts and was like umm where are the four additonal parts? He returns with ohh, they didn't want to come off. Now I'm slightly pissed but he assures me he will take them off and ship them asap. It is now February 27 and I have yet to recieve the 4 pieces. He responded to my im's about a month ago saying that he was going home and was going to send me the parts, but that was about a month ago and I haven't recieved anything. Now because I don't have the 4 pieces I'm going to have to pay extra for 1) to find them all over again; go out and buy them myself and 2) because the paint guy will charge me a large extra fee because he will have to paint the moldings (on a different occassion) seperately from the skirts. I think it was really awesome for him to screw me over when I specifically bought the skirts from him to help a fellow enthusiast/student/friend out.
