E36 - Mileage LCD problem

1993 e36 the LCD mileage indicator screen (not on at all) and all other functions associated such as service notifications/on board dianostics are unusable since the screen is dead...

searched previous and cannot find help - Any assistance appreciated..

Is there No indicator or just no light?

thanks for the post - There is nothing no light and no readout completley blank like its power sourc has been disconnected..

i looked at the harness because i have another issue that i replaced the comfort relay (seperate powe window problem) and again the harness looks good with no wires cut etc..

tried switching bulbs for the lcd if still none if you can, try to borrow or try a different instrument cluster lets see what happens...

happen to me before in my e36, turns out to be a burnt bulb.In my e34 it has a light but the screen is blank, i took it out and cleaned it with contact cleaner..now both is great :) goodluck
