Ok, when I bought this car it had only part of the key left, most of the plastic is missing but it starts the car fine...

In reading, it appears as though the 1990 750IL cars came pre-wired for remote alarms with infrared.... I see reference to switchblade keys somewhere. there is indeed some type of plastic receiving device next to the moonroof control.... Somewhere I think I read the 750IL was standard equiped with this.

So my question is, what does anyone know on this subject? Can I get a key? Switchblade type? go through a programming sequence like I read on the E38 site and walla it will work???

Any help appreciated....

The switchblade programming is different from the E38.
