Alpine Alarm dilemia

I picked up a alpine alarm (3 buton remote) and wiring harness, for my 91 M5, I installed it, programed the chips, and sychronized the locks. It chirps as it is suppossed to, but doesn't lock the doors. If I manually lock or double lock the doors the remote unlocks fine. I tried the alpine & harness in my 91 535 dailey driver works everything works fine. I checked all fuses, swapped control module and relays. I am down to the point that i assume it has to be between the 12 pin plug and control module. I have not done a conductivity test yet. Has any one else had this problem or still have the trouble shooting manual for the alpine. thanks for any input.
