I found a link in this forum that was US company that had a stack of good stuff for my E34,but of course, I can't find it now. I was looking at buying things like the gaskets and O rings for the induction system of my 540 along with the water temp sensor and new plugs , rear strut top mounts, oil filter, valve cover gasket set, exhaust hanger and a few other bits. Sadly all but the plugs and filter would be a main dealer job In the UK and given the exchange rate , I'd rather buy in the US. That's if the shipping costs don't kill the idea...
So any good online places you guys and help me with.

BMA has been shipping things over there for quite a while and it looks like it has worked out pretty good.

That's the place ! But at $115 shipping for less than 5KG, it's a non starter.

Shop around, of course try BMA , but if shipping is still kicking you in the a$$, ask nicely, or bribe, someone close to BMA (there are a few in that part of the world) to ship the stuff for you. I've shipped items for a member in the UK and it worked out very well. Unfortunately, I'm in Canada and it wouldn't work very well in this case.

Good luck to you, deals are in your future (fortune cookie said so).

I've used BMA and Autohaus. Happy with service and prices from both.

Thanks for the suggestions ,all. I did try BMA, but they came out at $118.51 for 5.25 pounds shipping weight. Maybe if I order enough stuf from autohausaz.com I'll make the shipping worthwhile.

Cheers

Email Patrick or Eves at BMA & ask if they will ship your parts by Air Parcel Post instead of UPS or whoever they are using. I ship motorcycle parts to Europe this way regularly and it's much cheaper then what you have been quoted.

Looking at the USPS website it would cost $36.90 by APP with insurance adding $2.75 per $100 value. If the package was 4lbs or less you can use Air Letter Post which is much cheaper but insurance is not available to the UK.

Had a 30 pound worth of goodies shipped to Kazakhstan via USPS Global Express on 2nd February. Everything arrived on 23rd February. Cost of shipment was 146USD.
I also could track the shipment via USPS website.
