saw my neighbor's 1997-2001 (not sure) bmw 740i being treated poorly. first, he tried to resurface the brake rotors with a portable grinder--with the rotors still on the vehicle. i don't know his knowledge level with cars, but i know this is not the proper way to resurface rotors (bmw doesn't recomend resurfacing brake rotors right?). second, he changed (twice) his wheels with bling designs for suv. anyway, he has the rights to do these things because it's his car. it's just sad to see a nice 7 series being treated this way. thought i share this with all of you guys.

I don't suppose telling him that resurfacing brake rotors might lead to vibrations down the road will do any good?

Didn't someone post a pic of a 7 with black parallels (from dirt) and a story about it sucking? I think it was Gayle. Anyhow, revive those pics.

don't want to get in trouble. he's always in a "gangster attire" with tattoos allover. he's always at home, and have two other suv's with custom "bling" wheels. makes me wonder how can he afford it? that's why cops did 2 surveillances on him already.

I've actually done the grinder thing to break the glaze on rotors before. 100 grit small enough disc to get in where the caliper goes to do the back. Disc spun the rotor and produced a pretty nice surface.
Can't say anything in favor of the "bling " though.

well if cops have suveilance on him then get yourself a gun. be prepared for the scumbags to follow. protect yourself and your family. we had a situation across the street from where my grandma lives. now this was new because she has lived in that town most of her life and never was exposed to drugs etc.. one night the police raided the house and arrested about 6 people. before that cops would be at the house daily for domestic abuse and people have had their houses broken into on the same street. luckily not my grandma but just be prepared.

Isn't there some sort of agency let loose on this guy? Maybe BPS, BMW Protection Services?

Its called dealer service. It assures that if you're dumb, you have to be rich to keep a BMW running. If you're smart but poor, you can spend a whole lot less and still keep the BMW running.

If you're poor and dumb, the car will dis-assemble itself on you as programmed by the factory.

Act like a cop, he won't think twice, he'll probably show his grill to the camera.

reminds me of the dumb sucker who lives across the street from me who bought a brand new z3 a few years back. He nearly wrecked the top by taking it through an automatic car wash after dealer told him it was ok to do so.
