My 1991 525i is sitting low on the front passenger side. Could it be a shock/strut not rebounding from being wore out or is there something else to look for. Hope to get some insight before I take it to the shop and get robbed. Any advice would be helpful. Thank You

worn out shocks usually don't effect the ride height, a quick and dirty test for checking struts/shocks is bouncing the car and seeing how it reacts, one step further i do is bounce the car from the centerline of the car (middle of the bumper) this way you are loading both sides and you can see if one side is more worn then the other, one side worse then the other causes some weird handling problems and cars with blown shocks on opposite corners can get damn right spooky

If its not the struts, might it be the springs

unusual but possible, could be a good time for a upgrade

probably your strut is in a "locked" position...(are your miles at or over 140k?) change saged springs while youre at it. cheers,

Cool, is that a complete front end rebuild kit?! Where did you get it, and how much? Are those lowered or stock springs?

I went out today and the car is sitting fine, no more lean. Should I replace the struts or is there something else to look at that could cause this.
