this is the wheel bearing on my car:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HB51&mospid=47370&btnr=31_0196&hg=31&fg=10

it says something about the pattern for brake disc mounting, assymetric and symmetric.

I am planning to buy FAG wheel bearing hub:

will it fit my car?

how good is a FAG brand? Just noticed it is cheaper than Meyle.

Thanks.

its ok, seems to rust fast though.

all the new rotors i have seen use the combo style holes to be compatible with both symmetric and asymmetric hubs, but the old bolts may not work anymore.

will the thread be incompatible or just the bolts will be too old and rusted?

Is there anything else you would advise changing together with the wheel bearing hub, apart from the bolts?

Which is better, FAG or Meyle?

bearing they just distribute another brands product. There are only a handful of bearing manufacturers in the world. FAG is a very good bearing and i wouldn't hesistate to use them.

FAG and SKF are OEM for BMW. Both have plants all over the world but are based out of Germany. I sell bearings for a living and they are both considered the best in the industry.
