". . . I'm up to my elbows in frictions & steels . . ." Sing along with me now :)

In the middle of a partial rebuild of my son's 89 535i 4hp22 doing the A & B clutchpack R&R. We bought it for cheap at the "lemon lot" cause it burped the torque converter seal & pumped ATF out of it faster than you can pour it in.

So far everything is going fine, THANKS! to Winfred's write-up & a little coaching & parts from Kirt Koeller. So far we have the new bushing & seal in the pump & bolted back into the bell housing. Taking a break while the frictions are soaking & cleaning up the baskets. Should have the trans together in another couple hours & ready to put back in the car.

Hope to get it running tonite or tomorrow depending on progress & available time before Superbowl. I'll update post again & let you know how it turns out.
