Definitely aftermarket. IIRC, stock was a "log" header like the e34's all have, and the euro versions got one that looked like this:

EDIT - I take that back - the S38 engines had these, the M30's have always come with the log headers as far as I know. The ones on ebay should fit any M30 as I don't think the exhaust port holes have changed at all, maybe the port sizes have b/c the valves got bigger in the later M30's

think they'll fit on a 535? they claim they'll fit any bmw with an m30...but looks like it might take some cutting and reshaping to get them to fit
