hey guys. to the poeple who have done this on the M60. would it be wise to get the upper inner gasket that goes around the coil packs or no?

yes, and the throttle body gasket too, and all new bolts that you will probably strip.

Mine were seeping when I got to them - lots of oil around the plugs. Make sure the valve covers are real clean in the grooves for the new gaskets too. Being aluminum heads, it is worth it to crack the plugs loose, check, and retorque with a very little fresh antiseize. I never touched any of the induction gaskets (throttle body, or others as mentioned in another post). Unless they're leaking - leave em be.

those come with the valve cover gaskets. Make sure you replace both intake end seals while you do the intake gaskets.

im waiting for that job when the weather gets warmer. but yea n intake re-seal is on the to-do list. my car idles like crap in this cold weather.

Do 2.0L and 2.5L M50 engines share the same valve cover gaskets? Realoem gives the same part number.

I am asking because a CRP gasket on bmaparts seems to have a different part number:

CRP is a good brand right if valve cover gaskets, right?
