A lady driver rapidly stops because she almost missed her right turn. There is no turning lane she she stopped in the lane. Long story short...

So, were you following too close?
If not, you better make damn sure you can convince whoever that you weren't and it wasn't your fault.

Bummer dude

Of course not. The thing that really put me in that situation was that the car infront of me was blocking my view. so i had no idea what was ahead.

It's not imposible. New fenders, hood, bumper, grill and lights. one of the fan's blade got stuck on the fan housing somehow.

but it's practically totaled.

If the roads were wet with either rain or snow,go to the National Weather Service web site and print out the weather stats for the day it happened . If you're insured they will no doubt find you at fault but if your state has an insurance board where you can have a hearing go in with the the weather report for the day and they should reverse any finding of fault due to weather . I had success with this. I was on a downhill sloping highway entering a tunnel,it was snowing. The vehicle in front of me stopped short as soon as he entered the tunnel and i could only slide under his bumper due to the snow though i was plenty far back to have stopped other wise. I was found at fault at first but the State Board ,after a $25 fee for the hearing, declared me not responsible as it was impossible to maintain control of the vehicle.
