I made a couple purchases.

Picked up a Surefire-style U2 knockoff that uses an 18650 battery and a K2 LED:

A modded flashlight that's had its cheaper LED replaced with a Cree unit (very high output), 3xAAA batteries but I should be able to run it with a 18650 as well:

A cheap 1-watt light that'll use a AA battery:

Picked up a couple protected, 3.7V 2400mAh 18650 cells:

and a charger:

Charger will also charge RCR123 cells, so I can pick those up if I end up with a flashlight that uses them.

Also got a couple cheapie flashlights for around the house:

Now... I just have to wait for everything to take the slow boat over from china. ;) Should be here within 2 weeks or so. Can't wait!!

I bought some flexible lights from the same source and he ships from CA. If your source was ebayer winsomebidsome.......bought 12 for 56 bucks shipped....great for trouble shooting printing press in hard to reach areas. Works good only in low light. Most of his stuff has high shipping charges though.

Check it out if you want anything, it's very reasonable, and the customer service is good from what I hear.

Yeah, I've heard between 1-2 weeks. I'm saying 2 weeks so I don't get myself all excited... I'm kinda stoked to play with these things!

I may give them a shot. I now have to support another building which has dismal lighting and my guys have to do quality inspections there. I think I may talk our admin into buying a couple.

Don't get the lame ones tho... do you use them a lot? Are you using rechargables right now?

Might be worth getting a decent light and some good rechargables... won't cost too much, I'd think. Lemme see how the ones I ordered turn out, and get back to you!
