You mean manual? S6S 420G ZF gearbox no connection with GM.

Sorry Jan, the S6S 420G is a Getrag box, not a ZF box. BMW's transmission specification jargon spells it out --

Sport6Speed 420 (the amount of torque the transmission can handle) G (manufacturer - Getrag in this case). The S6S 420G is the name BMW gave to the Getrag G286.6.

Corvettes use a Tremec T56 6 speed behind the LS-1. The gearing is all different, even if you fab a custom bellhousing. Considered doing this behind a V12 conversion a year or so ago, not worth it.

ZF makes the autobox for the v8s

The internals are but the bellhousing is different.
