fuel filter

where can i find the fuel filter on my 90 525i with m20 engine?
figured cheap investment and plus i bought bad gas awhile back wanna start fresh with new filter. any reccommendations on what brand where to buy a fuel filter?

Your fuel filter should be located in the rear passenger wheel well area. It is almost directly behind the right drive axle. Looks like a silver cylinder held in place by a metal band. You may want to get some new fuel injection hose in case your's is dried and cracked. Mine started leaking after replacing the filter so I changed every piece of hose in the system. HTH
