hmm, i attempted to replace my fuel sender today
not a hard job at all, really didn't have much trouble.

however, after putting the new one on, the gauge is still broken, but now somewhat worse. before, it would go up half way after a full fill, now, however, it stays on E the whole time with the Low Level light turned on (i just filled the car)

could the new sender be somewhat dried out, and just need to kinda sit in there for a while to start working again?
im pretty sure all the wires and hose are connected right. the car started, so the fuel pump is fine also.

there was a slight difference between the new and the old sender. the new one did not have some thin wires that the old one had. i think there were 2 or 3 running juston the outside of the plastic sender.
could that be a reason? the new one is used, came out of a 92 525i i believe. supposed to be in perfect workign condition
