Sitting at stoplight....

Idle seems normal and then Check Engine light flashes, temp reading goes from normal to low and mpg gauge (on the tachometer) jumps to around 15. This takes about 2 seconds.

Then everything goes back to normal.

What happened?

Could be Caps on the dash are old and need replacing, or could be a probelm with your electrical system.. ie alternator or battery.
I know when my alternator was out, all kinds of weird things would come on and off.

clean them up first. or get new cables
