Hi All,

Lately I am hearing a crackling sound from the front left side (Driver side) struts; but only in the morning and when it is cold like < 45F. What could be the issue. How to inspect the suspension system.

My car has the self leveling LAD suspensions. Does LAD control the front suspensions too?

Thanks
Arun

Chances are a bushing is the culprit, or the sway bar links. LAD is for the rear only

First I think I should know the name of the parts of suspensions. If I am not asking too much. Can you tell me which one is the bushing and Sway bar links in the realoem link (front axle for my car) below.

The links are #8, the bushings are refered to as "rubber mountings" I believe, but the assembly is commonly called a thrust rod and often (OFTEN) replaced as an assembly.
