Idle 16 to 17 Rs after instaling reb. head HELP

Did all New belts H2o pmp. Idler puley,Timming Belt,Had head job done.
All back together , eng runes great BUT can't idle down. Idles around 16 to 17 RPM. Cleaned ICV ,checked for vacum leaks. Whats next?
Sorry: 1990 525i M20 eng.200K mi. Car runs great , just won't idle back down to the 750 to 800 Rs like it was.
Ran the SERCH sect. could not find anything other than what I've alredy done.
Also installed new ign.wires, roter,& cap at same time as head job.

Did it just go away after some time?
Happens if you disconnect the battery long enough and then reconnect.

In the Bentley they say to disconect the battery then drive for 10 min. [so its Brain can reset] this I tried ,twice but no help.
I think that [632 Regal]may have something on the 1degre of thiming thing, but which way????? Maby Back 1 degre???? I'm gonna try that next, as soone as it warmes up down here in Key West , Fl. Please let me know if 1 degre back [retarded] is right.
I know that I'm not a great contributer to this Form but I DO lister and learn a bunch from it and without all of you'r help I'd be setting on the side of the road.
Can't try this fix over night but will let you know whar happens when I do.
